Job Description / Duties

The University of Memphis invites applications for the following nine-month, tenure track position in the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music beginning August 18, 2014.

Duties will include teaching voice students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and related courses that could include vocal pedagogy, diction for singers or vocal literature. While serving as an active and collaborative member of the Vocal Arts Division the successful candidate would maintain a profile as a performing artist.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Earned doctorate in music, or a master’s degree in music with equivalent distinguished national/international accomplishments is required. A record of outstanding ability as performer and teacher is desired. The department is especially interested in baritone or bass applicants.
