Job Description / Duties

The Voice Department within the Performance Studies Division, College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, seeks an experienced artist/teacher (tenor preferred, mezzo and baritone will be considered) for a tenure-track appointment beginning in the fall semester of 2015. The Voice Department has over 100 majors in BM, MM and DMA programs, and teaches the advanced student singers in the Artist Diploma Opera program. In addition, the department offers instruction to Music Education and Bachelor of Arts concentrations, and the BFA students in CCM's renowned Musical Theatre program.

Responsibilities: Emphasis will be upon applied studio voice teaching. In addition, qualifications for teaching in related subjects such as diction and vocal pedagogy will be considered. Fluency in Italian, French or German is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the discipline through performance, external teaching, and other related professional activities; to serve the college/university/community; and to advise and mentor students.

Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.

Position Qualification: Master's degree, significant professional performance experience and experience teaching graduate and/or professional level students.
