JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the principal, serve as an elementary music teacher planning, delivering and assessing K-5 music instruction which includes vocal and instrumental courses. The applicant must be able to teach K-5 music and coordinate vocal and instrumental concerts

TEACHING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Engaging and supporting all students in learning music.
 Creating and maintaining effective environments for student learning.
 Understanding and organizing subject matter for student learning.
 Planning instruction and designing learning experiences for all students.
 Assessing student learning.
 Developing as a professional educator.
 Establishing and maintaining the support and confidence of the school, district and community.
 Building relationships with students, staff, parents and administration
 Communicating with staff and administration regularly. Sharing plans, projects and information. Participating in grade-level, staff, and planning meetings.
 Collaborating with colleagues, grade-level partners and supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Successful experience working with elementary school students in music. Knowledge of subject matter content and assessments.
 A valid California Music single subject teaching credential with CLAD

Salary: $48,316 - $58, 754
