UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS SCHOOL OF MUSIC – Assistant Professor of Music, Studio Voice (mezzo-soprano). Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment (17086). Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions; position is contingent upon funding. Position begins August 1, 2017. Primary responsibility to teach voice performance studies to undergraduate and graduate music majors. Other responsibilities might include vocal pedagogy, vocal literature, or other classes according to the successful candidate's experience and School of Music needs. The candidate is expected to work closely with colleagues, to assume an active role in the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students to the School of Music, and to foster artistic and academic success of UNLV's diverse student populations. Doctor of Musical Arts in performance from a regionally accredited college or university and demonstrated teaching success at the college level preferred; Master of Music with extensive equivalent professional experience may be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in research and/or creative activity appropriate for a major research institution.
