NATS 2012 52nd National Conference Registration Opens OnlineThe National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) 52nd National Conference is quickly approaching and now is the time to mark your calendars and REGISTER ONLINE to attend this exciting event that will include exceptional programming appealing to all voice professionals. Renew old friendships, make new acquaintances, enjoy informative and educational sessions, relax, and have some fun in Orlando, Florida! The event will be located at and hosted by the beautiful Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, June 29 – July 3, 2012. “We have been working very hard on a new online registration module for all attendees, exhibitors, and advertisers to register for our next conference,” says Deborah Guess, NATS Director of Operations. “The new system features links to add the event to your calendar, as well as maps and directions to our event venue. It provides registrants with an automatic confirmation letter and invoice that outlines items purchased and how much was paid for the registration. Registrants receive event reminders with updated information about the conference, and reminders to make hotel reservations, which can also be done online. Additionally, attendees will have the ability to log back in to their registration with a confirmation number and add registration items if they wish.” The NATS program committee and Cindy Dewey, program chair, have organized a tempting mix of program sessions, featuring world renowned baritone Nathan Gunn, accompanied by Julie Gunn, as the featured guest artists and master class presenters. Jane Eaglen, who has one of the most formidable reputations in the opera world today, is the featured opening master class presenter. Florence Henderson, one of the most beloved American entertainers of the last six decades and a television icon as Carol Brady of "The Brady Bunch" is the featured Gala Banquet speaker. Pre-Conference Workshop Sessions, being held on June 29, 2012 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and prior to the Opening Ceremony, will feature Dr. Christopher Arneson, associate professor of voice at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, with the topic, “Assess Before You Assign: Selecting Repertoire from a Developmental Perspective.” The second workshop will feature Ryan Saab, co-founder of Stage Door Connections and StageDoorAcess.com, on the topic of “The Ultimate Music Theater Audition Seminar.” For complete information about this event, hotel registration information, and program highlights, please visit http://nationalconference.nats.org. |

"It's an exciting time to be a NATS member. While other professional associations are cutting back on member services for voice teachers, NATS keeps adding benefits and partnerships for members and students. I'm excited about the new music theater competition, the Orlando conference, and the partnership with Carnegie Hall - The Achievement Program - to mention a few. To borrow Joan Boytim'a phrase, I'm more 'nuts about NATS' than ever!" -Cynthia Vaughn, proud NATS member since 1984
