| Why Are You Attending NATS 52nd National Conference? |
|
This week on our Facebook page, we asked our friends to tell us why they are planning on attending the 52nd National Conference in Orlando, FL. We couldn’t say it better ourselves, so here’s what you told us--Straight from our page:
Kassidy Wells added, “I am a junior Vocal Performance major in college, and I participated in the NATS Eastern Region competition this year. My professor mentioned the national conference, and I am jumping on the opportunity! I cannot wait to attend the interest sessions, see Nathan Gunn in recital, and serve as a conference volunteer!” Jay White wrote, “As a teacher of voice, the national conference is an opportunity to see colleagues from around the country whom I only get to see every two years. It is a chance to chat with teachers of opera, art song, musical theatre and CCM and to get new and fresh ways of approaching such pedagogy with my students. The conference is a time to give credence to those things you have been doing and to spark new life in bringing the complex art of the vocal arts to your students.” What’s your reason for attending? Share it with us today on Facebook!

"It's an exciting time to be a NATS member. While other professional associations are cutting back on member services for voice teachers, NATS keeps adding benefits and partnerships for members and students. I'm excited about the new music theater competition, the Orlando conference, and the partnership with Carnegie Hall - The Achievement Program - to mention a few. To borrow Joan Boytim'a phrase, I'm more 'nuts about NATS' than ever!" -Cynthia Vaughn, proud NATS member since 1984
