Savor the South: Pre-Convention Dinner

Kick off your workshop experience by submerging yourself in the culture of Memphis at the Center for Southern Folklore. We will have a private gathering at the Center, featuring an introduction to its collections of folk culture and the music that is uniquely Memphis, from Rock 'n Roll to the Blues. We will enjoy a scrumptious southern meal prepared for us by Miss Ellie and enjoy a private concert by Blind Mississippi Morris. There will be a full cash bar and plenty of opportunities to catch up with your NOA and NATS colleagues in an event that will set the thone for a jam-packed Convention/Workshop schedule. Space is limited, so reserve early!

If you wish to attend these free events (with or without your registered guest/spouse), you must reserve your space in advance upon registration.

  • Opening Evening Reception on Thursday, January 5, 2012
  • Cabaret Evening on Friday, January 6, 2012
  • Breakfast on Sunday, January 8, 2012
  • Regional Collaboration Lunch on Friday, January 6, 2012 - Registration does not include the lunch event on Friday, January 6, which will be a buffet lunch event scheduled to give regions the opportunity to meet and collaborate during the lunch break. There will be a charge for the buffet lunch to be announced later. We are just trying to get a count for the hotel's restaurant. All attendees staying at the hotel will receive a discount in the hotel's restaurants during the conference/workshop, including this lunch.

 

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests will be honored through December 1. The NATS Executive Office must be notified of your intention to cancel in writing at the following address: 9957 Moorings Drive, Suite 401, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Notice may also be sent by fax to 904-262-2587. Cancellations are not accepted by phone or the Internet. All refunds are subject to an administrative fee of $25.00 USD. Refunds cannot be applied to subsequent workshops. Refund and Cancellation Policy-deadline is December 1, 2011.
