How To Upload Video for Private Sharing

We understand that you may not want to share your audition files with the general public. Many video sharing websites allow you to upload your media and make it accessible only to those with the link. While we can not provide technical support for these sites, we hope that these simple steps may be sufficient to familiarize yourself with the options on YouTube.

  1. After logging in to your YouTube account, click on the Upload link (in the upper left corner of the screen).
  2. Click on Upload Video.
  3. As your video is being uploaded, select Unlisted from the Privacy section under Video information and privacy settings.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. The privacy settings can be changed at any time.
  6. Get more help with uploading videos to YouTube.

Other Online File Sharing Options

If you have only audio files for the singing portion of your application, you may attach an MP3 file (up to 5MB) to an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Alternately, you can use other file sharing options online. Be sure to test your link before submitting to NATS. We did a Google search for "free file sharing websites" and found a few options to help you decide which one will work best for you. Some services permit large video files to be shared.
