Job Description / Duties
Duties: Teaching studio voice to graduate and undergraduate students; other duties as per the needs of the voice area and School of Music.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in voice (must be in hand by start date).
• Collegiate-level teaching experience
• Significant performing experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate or equivalent professional performing experience
• Demonstrated track record teaching in a variety of styles beyond traditional Classical music, including contemporary commercial music styles, music theatre, and/or other non-Western Classical vocal styles

The University of Iowa School of Music seeks a collaborative colleague to complement the voice area at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning in the fall of 2025. This is a full-time, one-year position, renewable up to three years pending positive reviews and budgetary approval.
The School of Music provides conservatory-like instruction at a Big 10 research institution, offering graduate and/or undergraduate degrees in composition, conducting, jazz studies, music education, music theory, music therapy, musicology, and performance.
