Teach undergraduate and graduate applied voice. Lead studio class. Assume other duties consistent with interest and expertise, e.g. teaching diction, pedagogy, vocal literature or related courses. Help to shape the Vocal Area. Actively engage in recruitment activities. Provide academic advising to students. Contribute to the field through performance, master classes, and/or other related external creative activities. Participate in the governance of the school. Rank of Assistant or Associate Professor assigned according to experience. This is a tenure track position with a starting date of September 1, 2017.
The successful candidate will be an experienced singer and pedagogue, with a graduate degree or commensurate professional experience, and a demonstrated record of successful student accomplishment. University-level teaching experience is desirable.
