Job Description / Duties

Teach applied voice (experience with classical and music theatre pedagogy required); coach and prepare student recitalists in classical and music theatre style; direct opera theatre program; provide academic advising to music majors; participate in faculty governance; and recruit voice students. Additional responsibilities may be assigned according to the candidate’s abilities and the needs of the institution. Keyboard proficiency will be considered a definite asset and choral experience considered helpful.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The successful candidate will be an experienced musician and teacher with a commitment to liberal arts education. An earned doctorate in music or ABD status, along with evidence of successful teaching and creative activity/research in vocal performance, music theatre, and opera, are necessary.
