Job Description / Duties

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music invites applications and nominations for a full time faculty position as an Artist Teacher of Voice, specifically bass or baritone, to join us during the 2019/2020 academic year.

The ideal candidate for this position is a teacher and performer of the highest caliber, willing to contribute to the artistic, professional, intellectual and individual development of our students and support the artistic and academic life of SFCM. The ideal candidate is a collaborative colleague, who creates a nurturing, inspiring and student-centered studio. They also support the goals and ideals as set forth by the SFCM Mission statement. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate studio voice lessons. Other duties include participation in departmental activities, faculty meetings, academic advising, juries, and auditions. The incumbent will also support our Admissions department in efforts to recruit new students.

Qualifications / Required Skills

College-level teaching experience and a well-developed professional performing career are required, as well as the master's degree or equivalent.
