Job Description / Duties

Teach Musical Theatre History, Performance, Repertoire, and Musicianship. Serve as musical director and accompany departmental productions and projects. Participation in recruitment, advising, committee work and service to the university will also be required. The candidate will be expected to vigorously pursue creative/research activities appropriate to the discipline.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required:
DMA, PhD, MFA, or MM with requisite professional experience; significant knowledge of musical theatre repertoire and styles; record of successful musical direction and effective teaching at the college and/or university level; accompanying skills.

Preferred:
Extensive professional experience in the field; thorough knowledge of singing techniques and vocal production.
