Job Description / Duties

Teach private lessons to Musical Theatre track students. Additional duties include teaching class voice for non-majors as well as participating in recruitment and auditions. Participation in advising, committee work and service to the university, college, and department will also be required. The candidate will be expected to vigorously pursue creative/research activities appropriate to the discipline.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required:
DMA, PhD, MFA or MM with requisite professional experience; thorough knowledge of vocal technique and styles of musical theatre vocal production; knowledge of musical theatre repertoire; a record of effective teaching at the college and/or university level; remain current in the field with regard to evolving styles, techniques, and voice pedagogy.

Preferred:
Extensive professional experience in the field; Soprano/Belter or Mezzo/Belter.
