Responsibilities include directing two choral ensembles, as well as building and maintaining a strong choral program (e.g., recruiting). Teaching may include choral conducting, choral literature, diction, vocal chamber music, 21CM topics courses, or other courses, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and the needs of the School of Music. Commitment to promoting a dynamic learning environment based on inclusive pedagogies essential.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Rank and salary commensurate with experience. A completed doctorate in choral conducting preferred. Teaching experience at the university level and evidence of scholarly/artistic activity required. A commitment to undergraduate teaching in a forward-thinking and innovative context essential. Experience directing undergraduate-level choirs preferred.
