Job Description / Duties

The Dean is the administrator of the academic program of the school and reports directly to the Provost. The Dean is
responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight for all programs of the school. The dean makes
recommendations regarding the academic budgets and personnel within the school and ensures that all aspects of the school operate within institutional policies. The dean serves on the Council of Deans, the chief academic decision making group within the university, and the Provost's Administrative Council, the chief policy and procedure
coordinating group.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required Qualifications: Terminal degree in one of the academic areas of the School of Mu sic and Fine Arts; significant administrative experience. The candidate must demonstrate a vibrant Christian commitment and the ability to integrate the Christian faith with traditional coursework.

With the application materials requested, one of the three
professional references needs to speak specifically about the candidate's spiritual vitality; a brief essay is also requested describing the candidate's spiritual journey, concluding with information about current (present year) involvement in the life of a local congregation/parish.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
