Job Description / Duties

We are currently looking for young, innovative minds with classical expertise in at least one of the following instruments to join our team as soon as possible:

VOICE - a singer with a passion for instructing students of all ages, from young children to adults; and across all musical genres, including musical theatre, classical, pop and jazz

Responsibilities
•Conducting customised one-on-one classical music instruction with students of all ages and levels, while the majority of our students are aged 16 and under
•Preparing lessons in advance, tailored to individual students’ wants and needs
•Providing thorough instructions at the end of each class to aid students with efficient practising
•Producing quarterly reports for clients describing students’ progress

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree or above in Music from a top conservatory or university music program (in performance or academic studies)
•At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an institutional setting
•The right to work in Hong Kong is not required - we are happy to sponsor work visas for suitable candidates

Required Qualities
•Fluency in English, both written and verbal
•A strong communicator, who enjoys spending time with children
•A responsible hard worker, who is passionate about and committed to teaching students of all levels, especially beginners
•A music lover, who wants to share and promote the enjoyment of classical music
•Strong flexibility and creativity; prepared to tailor teaching methods to the individual needs of each student
•Has excellent time management and organisational skills
•A team-player, who can excel in a collaborative working environment
•Commitment to a five-day working week

Additional Information

Helpful (but not required) Qualities
•Ability to speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin
•Ability to speak more than one language
•Ability to teach more than one instrument, theory and/or aural listening
•Familiarity with Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity grading systems
