Job Summary:

PPAS, Lancaster County's premier performing arts studio, is hiring a dynamic Voice Instructor to join its team. Popovsky Performing Arts (PPAS) was founded in 2007 and has continuously provided the highest-quality education and experiences for those looking to explore the performing arts. As an organization, we value collaboration, communication, and vivacious energy to get the best out of our students and give them a fun and encouraging place to learn.
Voice Instructors teach weekly private lessons to students ranging from children to adults and beginners to professionals. They prepare students for auditions and performances, communicate with clients and colleagues in a timely and professional manner, and contribute to a positive, connected, and purpose-driven studio community.
In addition to instruction, this role plays an important part in supporting studio growth through relationship-building, student retention, and contributing to a strong, inclusive internal culture.

Job Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include:
Providing high-level, personalized voice instruction that considers a student’s goals, limitations, differences, and preferred level of commitment
Preparing students for auditions, performances, and studio events
Maintaining professional, timely communication with clients and colleagues
Keeping detailed records of lessons taught, student progress, and assignments
Managing and maintaining an organized and accurate teaching schedule
Collaboration & Culture:
Collaborating with studio staff on performances, recitals, and special events
Actively contributing to a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented studio culture
Participating in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and studio initiatives
Serving as a mentor and role model for students while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment
Community Creation & Business Development:
Attending community events and networking opportunities to make meaningful connections in our communityIdentifying and developing ways to generate more internal community engagement.
Building strong relationships within our team and community through events, projects, and team building activities.
Identifying gaps in programming to help increase student enrollment in cross discipline programing as well as student body growth.
Encouraging student participation in additional studio offerings (classes, camps, performances, etc.)
Assisting in the growth of the studio through community engagement, outreach, and promotion
Identifying opportunities to enhance the student experience and contribute to overall studio growth
Professional Growth:
Pursuing continuous development through continuing education, professional organizations, and performance opportunities

Qualifications / Required Skills

B.A. or B.F.A. in Music, Performing Arts, or a related field (Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy or related field strongly preferred)
Performance experience strongly preferred
Ability to play piano well enough to self-accompany lessons preferred
Strong understanding of vocal pedagogy and a passion for continued learning
Excellent communication, organizational, and self-management skills
Strong collaborator with a positive and proactive mindset
High attention to detail and punctuality

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 +
