Job Description / Duties

- Develop individualized lesson plans and customized vocal warm-up routines tailored to each student’s age, voice, goals, and experience level
- Teach contemporary vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock, R&B, indie, and musical theatre
- Instruct and reinforce healthy vocal technique, musicianship, ear training, rhythm, note literacy, and foundational vocal skills
- Balance technical vocal development with contemporary stylistic interpretation and artistic expression
- Prepare students for auditions, performances, recitals, and special events
- Be able to, or willing to learn how to, edit accompaniment tracks and create lead sheets to support student preparation and performance needs
- Be able to, or willing to learn how to, administer studio recordings
Prepare students for large-scale recitals performed with full live band accompaniment
- Maintain timely lesson notes, student records, and progress updates with students and parents
- Potentially teach studio intensive programs and summer camps as needed

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Voice, Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
- Experience teaching private lessons to children, teens, and adults
- Warm, caring, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students
- Exceptionally patient and adaptable with students of varying ages, learning styles, and experience levels
- Reliable, professional, and emotionally consistent, with the ability to contribute positively to a stable and collaborative work environment
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience, but not required:
- Proficiency in Logic Pro is a plus
- Experience working with neurodivergent students
- Performance and/or industry experience strongly valued
- Elementary Piano
