I wholeheartedly support America Sings Together on Martin Luther King Day. The fourth stanza listed in the lyrics of Amazing Grace is not by John Newton,but it is from the early 19th-century American hymn, "Jerusalem,My Happy Home," (author unknown) and is used in some modern hymnals as a fifth stanza in place of the original stanzas five and six by Newton.

The four selected stanzas are beautiful and appropriate for AST on MLK Day.
