SUMMARY:NATS National Mentoring Collaborative application deadline for me
 ntees
DESCRIPTION:-- NATS National Mentoring Collaborative --\n\nThe NATS Nati
onal Mentoring Collaborative (NNMC) was launched in Fall 2019.  It is
our continued intent to foster learning for our teachers by offering thi
s collaborative approach to mentoring.  This is an opportunity to impro
ve your skills, collaborate with new people, and consider new strategies
. We will focus on creating an interactive and inclusive environment wit
 h three components including:\n\n* Two one-hour sessions with a mentor o
f your choice (see list and links below)\n\n* Two shared videos of your
teaching with your mentor teacher.\n\n* A collaborative session with all
currently enrolled mentees to discuss points of interest.\n\nThe deadli
ne for the spring session for mentee applications is February 15th with
enrollment dates from March 1-May 15th, 2022. Fall dates will have an
application deadline of October 1st with enrollment dates October 15-Dec
ember 15th.  \n\nThose interested in being mentored are able to choose
from a list of Mentor Teachers to aid in developing their own teachin
g pedagogy. The program also includes collaborative piano. The fee for M
entees is $250, from which a stipend will be paid to Mentor Teachers. (C
LICK HERE for an informational video.)\n\nThe Art of Teaching is a compl
ex topic involving content knowledge, communication and organization ski
ll, and curiosity about how people learn. Given the variability in both
singing pedagogy and how people acquire knowledge, a teacher needs a wid
e repertoire of strategies to address his/her students. NATS believes st
rongly in the role of mentoring our teachers and, as such, this initiati
 ve begins!\n\nMORE INFORMATION\n\nMENTEE APPLICATION
