 NATS Science-Informed Voice Pedagogy Institute will train enrollees in t
 he application of current voice science to their teaching, whether in th
 e studio or the classroom. The intensive one-week course is structured a
 round the traditional pillars of voice science, as well as the newest ad
 dition to science-informed pedagogy, cognitive science.\n\n-- Topics inc
 lude: --\n\n* The Motor: Skeletal Alignment and Respiration \n\n* The S
 ource: Phonation\n\n* The Resonator: Acoustics\n\n* The Snake Pit: Regis
 tration\n\n* The Message-Maker: Articulation\n\n* The Brain: The applica
 tion of cognitive science and motor learning research to voice pedagogy.
 \n\nTraining sessions will consist of traditional lectures, seminars, ma
 ster classes, open forums, and demonstration teaching by attendees, and 
 will be inspired by clear goals and outcomes.\n\n-- By the end of the in
 stitute, enrollees should: --\n\n* Possess both an historic and practica
 l understanding of the three pillars of voice science: physiology, vocal
  tract acoustics, and cognition.\n\n* Be able to define science-informed
  voice pedagogy and articulate its importance and value in 21st century 
 voice training.\n\n* Know the existent science-informed voice pedagogy r
 esources and how to access them.\n\n* Be both prepared and equipped to r
 efresh their own course content and align course objectives with the new
  NATS science-informed pedagogy resources. Attendees will leave equippe
 d with resources to advocate for curricular change at their institutions
 .\n\n* Commit to a future in which every voice student is assured that t
 hey will be educated in a common foundation of science-informed voice pe
 dagogy knowledge upon which to build.\n\nWhile the NATS Science-Informed
  Pedagogy Institute is designed for those teaching voice pedagogy at the
  collegiate level, it is open to all voice professionals keen to heighte
 n their knowledge base to be truly “science-informed,” whether in th
 e classroom or the studio.\n\n------------------------------------------

 95\n\nHousing and meal package: $590 (includes 3 meals per day and su
 ite style housing with private bedroom)\n\nRegistration is limited to 60
  participants.\n\nAll participants will receive a certificate of complet

 f helpful texts. While not required reading, attendees are strongly en
 couraged to read these books prior to the start of the institute.\n\nVie

 S Executive Office must be notified of your intention to cancel in writi

 d to subsequent workshops, conferences or membership dues and will be is
 sued after the event has concluded. Cancellations are not accepted by p
 hone; they must be in writing.\n\nAll refunds are subject to an administ
 rative fee of $75.00 USD. No refunds will be made after the deadline of 
 April 15, 2025. Because NATS arranges all the logistics based on the num
 ber of registrants at the time of the online registration cut-off date a
 nd commits to pay for those services, we are unable to grant any refunds
  after the cancellation deadline.
