San Diego NATS Chapter Workshop and Master Class

The San Diego NATS Chapter is thrilled to offer It Might As Well Be Spring: A Musical Theater Workshop and Masterclass with Mary Saunders-Barton and Stephen Brotebeck on March 18th, 2017 at the Canyon Crest Academy (5951 Village Center Loop Rd, San Diego, CA 92130).
Our master teachers are nationally and internationally known in Musical Theater and will be presenting invaluable information on their experiences in the professional field as well as working one-on-one with four lucky students in this day-long event. Please review the schedule below to see what the day has to offer.
SCHEDULE
Morning Session: 10 a.m. - Noon
Our teachers will be offering a variety of approaches to successfully presenting a musical theater song including effective gesture and acting and movement tips to elevate performance. In addition, invaluable information on vocal pedagogy best practices for musical theater (including approaches to singing this rich and popular repertoire for both male and female voices) will be presented.
The audience is invited to ask questions throughout the session.
Lunch: Noon - 1 p.m.
Box lunches will be available for purchase as part of your day-long ticket, you may bring your own lunch, or you head out for lunch on your own during this hour.
Afternoon Master Class: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Our master teachers will work with four students ranging from high school to graduate students. Each student will have 30 minutes of individual instruction.
