2019 NATS Summer Workshop

June 27 - 29, 2019

Join us at St. Olaf College for a wide-ranging workshop on diction for the university and studio teacher! There will be diction, repertoire workshops and master classes in Russian and Scandinavian repertoire, as well as comparative and practical solutions for teaching the standard languages in the private or university studio. Opportunities abound for singing in master classes and immersing yourselves in new repertoire.

We have a special hotel room rate of $119 per night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Northfield. We have also set up a special rate for St. Olaf Campus Housing at a special room rate of $49 per night (double occupancy) and $59 per night (single occupancy). The campus housing requires at least a 2 night stay. (See complete information on the Lodging & Transportation page of our website).

Campus Housing Reservations are closed.

St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota is where the 2019 Summer Workshop is being held in conjunction with and featuring the NATS National Student Auditions for 2019! Semifinal and final competitions will be held on June 27 and 28. We are also once again having the Mentored Teaching Experience.

Mentored Teaching Experience

NATS is pleased to offer the Mentored Teaching Experience as part of the 2019 Summer Workshop. This initiative is aimed at providing more NATS members with development opportunities. Participants can gain valuable feedback and re-energize their teaching. Workshop participants had the opportunity for a session with one of our mentor teachers, for an additional $50. This can be added to your registration at the end. You must be registered for the Workshop in order to participate.

  • Gain valuable feedback on your teaching and materials.
  • Strengthen your studio pedagogy.
  • Take advantage of a developmental opportunity at a very reasonable cost.
  • Re-energize your teaching.

Registration Online is now closed. You can still register on-site at St. Olaf College!
