SUMMARY:2021 NATS Art Song Composition Award - Deadline to Apply
DESCRIPTION:-- The purpose of the Art Song Composition Award is to stimul
 ate the creation of quality vocal literature through the cooperation of 
 singer and composer. --\n\n-- Now an annual competition! --\n\nHow It Wo
 rks: The competition is open to any composer whose submitted work meets
  the prescribed requirements and who pays the competition entry fee. Th
 e composer of the winning song cycle, group of songs, or extended song c
 ycle will receive a cash award and a performance of the winning compos
 ition at the next scheduled NATS National Conference. \n\nEntry Fee: E
 ach entry is $30 for professionals; $15 for full-time students\n\nPrizes
 : The winner is awarded $2,000 plus expenses to the NATS 57th National 
 Conference in Chicago, July 2-6, 2022; the runner-up is awarded $1,000. 
 Cash prizes are generously sponsored by American composer Lori Laitman.\
