Bio:

Mezzo-soprano Dr. Anne Elise Richie is a highly experienced professional singer and voice teacher. She completed her doctoral studies at the Florida State University and currently resides in Milwaukee Wisconsin. In addition to adjudicating for the Wisconsin School Music Association Dr. Richie is a member of the Florentine Opera Chorus and specialized in classical and sacred vocal repertoire. She is currently accepting new voice and piano students at her private studio.

She is currently accepting new private voice and piano students at Hulbert Piano in Brookfield as well as her home studio near 76th and Oklahoma Ave in Milwaukee. Dr. Richie is also a member of the Vocal Arts Faculty of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and teaches at the McIntosh Goodrich Mansion in downtown Milwaukee and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Performing Arts Center in Brookfield. She is an active adjudicator with the Wisconsin School Music Association and will be adjudicating for the National Federation of Music Clubs this Spring.

A graduate of The Florida State University, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and the North Carolina School of the Arts, Anne Elise Richie, specializes in classical and music theater repertoire. She has held college and high school teaching positions as well as maintained a private voice studio in Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Winston-Salem, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville prior to relocating to Milwaukee in 2014. Her technique, based on the best bel-canto practices, yields excellent, healthy results. She is passionate about helping aspiring professional and avocational students make the most of their gifts by helping them improve their breath technique, range, resonance, and diction. Dr. Richie also offers an introduction to piano, music reading, and theory fundamentals. These can be incorporated in the recommended weekly 1 hour lesson. Vocal Coaching for Professional Voice Users is also available.
