Bio:

A lifelong musician, Boston-based soprano Ellen Allen is a versatile performer of oratorio, recital, opera, new music, and chamber music. She has appeared as a chorister and soloist with many Boston-area ensembles, including Cantata Singers, Triad: Boston's Choral Collective, the Andover Choral Society, Calliope, MetroWest Choral Artists, and the Harvard Early Music Society, performing works by Bach, Haydn, Poulenc, Handel, and Vivaldi, as well as premieres and recently-composed works by local composers. Ellen is the founder of Ellen Allen Voice and Coaching, where she teaches voice lessons to teens and adults who sing everything from classical to musical theater to contemporary music. She is also a performance mindset coach for performing artists, helping them to conquer their performance nerves, banish imposter syndrome, and embrace their artistic paths with clarity and purpose so they can perform with authentic confidence, both on and off the stage.

Ellen holds a Master of Music in Voice and a Teaching Artist Certificate from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from Gordon College, and two coaching certifications through the International Association of Wellness Professionals.
