Title: Voice Teacher

Bio: Maura O’Halloran is a Suzuki-trained Voice Teacher who specializes in teaching students of all ages how to use their voice as an instrument -- how to care for that instrument, how to warm it up, how to "tune" it by adjusting posture or releasing tension. Each lesson is tailored to the specific age and gender of the student. Ms. O’Halloran specializes in teaching young children, adolescents and young adults. Good vocal technique and musicianship starts when children are young! Ms. O’Halloran is a registered member of both the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) and the European Suzuki Association (ESA). She trained in the Suzuki Voice Method in Finland with Suzuki Voice founder Dr. Päivi Kukkamäki. Ms. O’Halloran studied Voice at DePaul University with Norman Gulbrandsen and at St. John’s College with the late composer Dr. Lawrence Cave. Ms. O’Halloran is currently furthering her education and studying how to utilize the voice to activate parts of the brain and heal children from effects of trauma.
