Bio: Melbourne based soprano, Carmela De Losinno is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. She has a bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Education. She is a qualified Vocal Habilitation Professional. Carmela has studied with Maestro Bandera in Milan, Italy, Maestro Stamos in Germany and many other teachers in Australia. She combines The bel canto method with modern scientific methods to cater for the varied styles of learning students have. Carmela recently completed her levels 1,11 and 111 certificate in Somatic Voicework™ ,The LoVetri Method. In 2019 she attended the MDH- Breathing Coordination workshop in Switzerland. She completed a teacher training course with Gillyanne Keys and Jeremy Fisher: Level 1 &2 2019,2020. Carmela is now a Vocal Health First Aider Vocal Habilitation Professional (UK) Carmela is both a passionate performer and teacher. She was a member of Opera Australia ensemble for 5 years and sung the lead soprano roles for a number of Opera companies in Victoria. Roles include: Suor Angelica, Elvira in Ernani, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, Floria Tosca in Tosca and Hanna Glawari in the Merry Widow.
