Title: Lecturer in Voice

Bio:

Hi, I'm Chris,

I work with established, emerging, and developing singers helping them discover their own voice! As a teacher and vocal coach, my goal is to be your guide and help you develop your vocal potential through technical, interpretive, musical, and performance skills. I've appeared across North America in a wide range of stage and concert repertoire, and received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from Boston University, and additional degrees in music from McGill University and the University of Calgary.

I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and am a past President of the Arkansas Chapter. In Fall 2021 I joined the music faculty at the University of Regina, and am a member of the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers' Association. Previously I was on faculty at the University of Arkansas, where I received the ‘Outstanding Mentor Award’ three times. I've worked with a wide variety of students who have gone on to win numerous auditions and competitions, and are pursuing a variety of careers in music.
