Bio: Matt Blanks originally hails from Olney, Maryland. He currently resides in Asheville, NC. A graduate of Peabody Conservatory and Baldwin-Wallace University, he has regional credits in Illinios, Indiana, Wisconsin, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and New York as a classical soloist. Operatic roles performed include Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Mr. Blanks has appeared as a young artist with Opera Southwest, Tri-Cities Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Sarasota Opera, and Chicago Opera Theater. Currently, he holds positions as Director of Music at Etowah United Methodist Church and Adjunct Professor of Music at both North Park and Mars Hill Universities.
