Bio:

Mr. Bryant studied drama (acting option) at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before transferring to Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts where he received a BM in Vocal Performance.

He completed his graduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he performed several leading tenor roles with the NEC/BC opera under the direction of Mr. John Moriarty. He received his M.M. in Vocal Performance from NEC with a concentration in Opera. While studying at NEC, Bryant was the tenor soloist and section leader at Historic Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Downtown Boston and later at Historic Park Street Church on the Boston Commons.

Since moving to Florida, Bryant has been a member of the Walt Disney World Voices of Liberty, apprenticed with the Orlando Opera and was a resident artist with the Central Florida Lyric Opera for several years.

Bryant worked as an adjunct voice instructor at Gordon College, at both the Cocoa and Melbourne campuses of the Brevard Community College, at Seminole Community College, and at Valencia Community College in Orlando prior to coming to Southeastern. At Southeastern, Bryant is the Voice department coordinator and is currently a member of the Tampa Bay chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).

In addition to teaching, Bryant is the Artistic and Stage Director of the Southeastern Music Department Lyric Theatre productions. Over the last several years he has directed several full-length opera productions (featuring SEU students) including Le Nozze di Figaro, The Tender Land, The Mikado, Hansel and Gretel, Cosi fan Tutte and Die Fledermaus, along with the annual fall A Night at the Opera…Scenes programs and the annual spring A Night on Broadway programs.
