Bio: Diane Aragona (soprano) is a classically trained singer and vocal instructor. Ms. Aragona has her Master of Music degree in Classical Voice from the Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University), where she studied under Judith Nicosia. Past performances include Kurt Weill’s Threepenny Opera (Mrs. Peachum), Bernstein’s Candide (Paquette), and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (Erste Knabe). Ms. Aragona is an active recitalist in NY and NJ, and has most recently performed recitals at Rutgers University (2016), The Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield, NJ (2017), and the United Methodist Church at Milltown, NJ (2016). In April 2016 Ms. Aragona performed in NYSTA’s Tribute Concert to composer Tom Cipullo at the National Opera Center in NYC. An avid lover of contemporary American art song, she has had the pleasure of working one-on-one with prominent composers such as Tom Cipullo and Richard Hundley. Ms. Aragona is the founder & co-owner of His & Hers Music, a private music school in northern NJ, where she continues to teach voice and piano. She was the Private Voice Instructor for the Premier Ensemble of the National Children’s Chorus (NCC) in New York from 2016-2018. Aragona also has experience teaching collegiate level voice lessons for undergraduates and group vocal classes at Rutgers University. Additionally, Ms. Aragona is on the Board of the NY Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA), and has been an active member of the organization for the past 7 years.
