Title: Voice Teacher

Bio: Brian Sharp holds the Bachelor of Music (Voice) and the Master of Music Education (Voice) from East Tennessee State University. He has studied voice with Dr. Thomas Jenrette, Mr. Robert Lapella, Mrs. Karen Hawthorne, and Mr. Alan Hoke. Mr. Sharp has been teaching voice since 1995 and in 2012 opened an independent studio where in addition to voice he also teaches beginning piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, Scottish Bagpipes, and music theory. His performing experience includes the role of Tamino in the Magic Flute (ETSU Opera), Fred/Petruccio in Kiss Me Kate, and Bert in Mary Poppins. His choral experience as a singer includes chamber settings, vocal jazz, and contemporary a cappella (ETSU's 7BucsWorth). As a graduate assistant Mr. Sharp was the conductor of the ETSU Women's Ensemble and was the assistant director for Opera Workshop. He has served various churches as tenor section leader, choral conductor, and Worship Pastor for over 20 years.
