Amanda Balltrip

Bio: Amanda Balltrip is an operatic soprano and voice instructor for University of the Cumberlands, privately in Somerset, KY, and the Kentucky Center’s Governor’s School for the Arts. She performs locally and regionally with companies such as Flashback Theater, The Lexington Theatre Company, and The National Chorale. Amanda is a alumna of the University of Kentucky, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in vocal performance. She is the 2008 winner of the Kentucky District of the Metropolitan National Council Auditions and the Alltech Opera Scholarship Competition, which provided her with full tuition and stipend for her graduate studies. She can be heard this summer at Master Musicians’ Festival in Somerset, KY singing a variety of styles from art song to Alanis Morissette.
