Bio:

Broadway performer Cassie Okenka, originally from Toledo Ohio, holds a B.M. in Music Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University-Conservatory of Music and a Certification of Distinction in Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She continued to specialize in Commercial Contemporary Music training with the Voice Teacher Training Certification from New York Vocal Coaching, under Justin Stoney. Cassie has mentored with Bel Canto Can Belto’s Mary Saunders-Barton and Complete Vocal Fitness’ Claudia Friedlander. Her continuing education includes Andrew Byrne’s The Singing Athlete, levels I-II-III of Somatic VoiceworkTM, the LoVetri Method, and numerous classes at the Jen Waldman Studio. All of this education gives Cassie the tools and knowledge to teach safe and healthy singing, be able to sing various styles and genres, and have a “work smarter, not harder” mentality.

Outside of the Voice studio, Cassie teaches masterclasses for various Broadway Based Organizations. She was last seen on Broadway in the Original Broadway Casts of “School of Rock” and “Bonnie and Clyde” with national tour experience in “Wicked” (Understudy Glinda/Nessarose) and “The Wizard Of Oz (Dorothy).
