Title: Director/ Principal Local Personal Own Music School

Bio: Haruna came to the U.S. from Japan when she was in her early thirties for her work after working for Xerox, Japan and the state government. After an enormous commitment of start up work for creating some programs between California State University Eastbay and Hosei University (one of the Japanese private universities in Tokyo), her long term passion for music made her go back to school and shifted her career in her mid-thirties. She studied voice in Ohio State University and received her final BA degree in voice from Iowa State University while raising her small daughter and son. After moving to San Jose, CA for her husband's job change, she taught general music to regular and special needs students in Cupertino Union School District for ten years while she was serving as a board of directors in MTAC Santa Clara branch. Later on, Haruna opened her dream local music school in 2019 to continue her teaching with a lot of passion to share the love of music and pass her musical experience and understanding to nurture the next generation - senior. Her voice and piano students have been taking grade certification in MTAC/ CAPMT (MTNA)/ ABRSM. Some of her students has been placed in local, state, and domestic level competitions for these 20 years.
