Bio:

Minxin She, mezzo-soprano, is a Chicago-based voice teacher and performing artist. She is the Founder & Director of Hyde Park Music Academy and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance. She has taught at the university level, including at the University of Kansas.

With a strong background in both performance and pedagogy, Minxin works with students from middle school through adult learners. Her teaching focuses on building a healthy, efficient vocal technique while helping students develop musicality, confidence, and expressive freedom.

Minxin is especially experienced in guiding students through auditions, competitions, and performances. She provides clear, practical tools that students can apply immediately, making lessons both effective and engaging.

Known for her patient and encouraging approach, Minxin creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voice and growing at their own pace.

She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
