Bio: Praised for her "flute-like timbre and exceptional agility," internationally-acclaimed coloratura soprano Dr. Yue Yin captivates audiences on major stages across North America and Asia. Her performances have graced prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, London’s Fleming Hall, Singapore’s Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Victoria Concert Hall, , Qingdao People's Hall, Jakarta Symphony Hall, and the Bangkok Thailand Cultural Centre, cementing her reputation as a commanding and versatile artist. Dr. Yin’s vibrant career features collaborations with leading organizations such as the New York Lyric Opera, Singapore Lyric Opera, Opera Siam, Singapore Philharmonic Orchestra, the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, and Hallelujah Oratorio Society (HOS). On the operatic stage, she has distinguished herself in the brilliant coloratura roles of Blonde in Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and Morgana in Alcina, while also embracing the lyrical depth of roles like Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Nannetta in Falstaff. As a concert soloist, her repertoire encompasses masterpieces such as Mahler's Symphony No. 8, Bach's Mass in B minor, Dan Forrest's The Creation, and Mozart's Mass in C minor. Her upcoming engagements include the soprano soloist in Haydn's The Creation at the Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall on November 1, 2025. A passionate advocate for vocal pedagogy and underrepresented works, Dr. Yin actively collaborates with organizations like The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), The Musicians Club of Women (MCW), The National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA), The Singapore Composer's Association, and The NeoMosaic Ensemble. Her artistry has been featured in international media, earning laudatory reviews from outlets including Qingdao Daily, Zhe Le Classical, Singapore Television and Thai press. Dr. Yin is dedicated to education, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of North Georgia, a faculty member at the Montecito International Music Festival in Los Angeles, and a visiting voice faculty member with the International Christian Choral Conductor Society and Hallelujah Oratorio Society in Singapore. She is a sought-after clinician, having presented masterclasses at institutions across the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. She holds a Doctor of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Literature from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with a minor in Music Theory and a certification in Vocology, and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Vocal Performance from the Royal College of Music in London.
