Bio:

An Alabama native, Benjamin South is a versatile performer & teacher specializing in crossover performance & pedagogy. Most recently, he has performed as a Teaching & Touring Artist with Central City Opera and an Emerging Artist with the Seagle Festival. Notable roles include Charlie (BRIGADOON), Sam (SUSANNAH), Birdlace (DOGFIGHT), and Laurie (Adamo's LITTLE WOMEN). He is active in premiering song cycles & stage works and frequently performs as a concert soloist, music director, and collaborative pianist. Benjamin maintains a robust private studio teaching & coaching clients throughout the United States. Additionally, he is an active researcher & guest lecturer.

He is currently pursuing the D.M.A. in Performance & Pedagogy at the University of Colorado Boulder. He holds degrees and certificates from New York University, Ohio University, the University of North Alabama, and Estill Voice International. Beginning in August, Benjamin is eager to serve on the faculty of Florida Southern College as tenure-track Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre.
