Bio:

Sarah Kathleen Adams teaches voice lessons at Allegra School of Music and Arts. She traces her roots as a military brat back to West Point, NY, where her journey in music began with learning to play the flute. Commencing vocal training at 17, Sarah swiftly rose to prominence, earning a coveted spot among the 150 artists selected for YoungArts in 2013, alongside luminaries such as Timothée Chalamet and Jessica Darrow. Her exceptional talent catapulted her to the prestigious ranks of the Presidential Scholars in the Arts, affording her the honor of performing at The Kennedy Center and receiving a presidential medal.

In 2019, Sarah made her Carnegie Hall debut in a mesmerizing production of a new musical, alongside acclaimed artists Natalie Weiss, Anne Frasier Thomas, and Emma Degerstedt. She further showcased her versatility with an appearance at Off-Broadway's Theatre Row, performing as a swing in a three-person show under the direction of Tony-winning Producer Stephanie Rosenberg. Additionally, Sarah has delighted audiences at the prestigious Birdland jazz club, where she shared the stage with renowned pianist Billy Stritch.

Sarah's teaching philosophy is anchored in the belief of “following joy” through passion, dedication, and service. Drawing from her background in opera and musical theater, she instills in her students a profound appreciation for all musical disciplines while encouraging them to embrace their individuality and artistic expression. By fostering a nurturing, supportive, and fun environment, Sarah empowers her students to unlock their vocal potential, equipping them with the skills and confidence to captivate audiences on stage.

Beyond her musical pursuits, Sarah finds joy in sharing her artistic talents through pyrography artwork showcased at artist fairs (Heart of Fire Pyrography) and in the creative confines of her voice-over studio booth.
