Helen Hass loves helping singers discover (or rediscover) the joy of singing. She creates a warm, encouraging environment where beginners can build confidence, grow their musical skills, and explore new freedom in their voices. With over a decade of teaching experience, Helen has guided students in private lessons, workshops, and choir warmups, always tailoring her approach to meet each singer’s needs.

As a performer, Helen’s career spans opera, choral, and jazz. She has sung leading or supporting roles with Detroit Opera (formerly the Michigan Opera Theatre), Opera North, the University of Michigan, and the University of Colorado Boulder, and has performed internationally with jazz ensembles. Currently based in New York City, Helen combines her professional artistry with an approachable teaching style that welcomes every singer’s journey.
