Bio:

Scott Bailey is a collaborative pianist, organist, conductor, music director, and composer living in Westfield, MA. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music performance from the Crane School of music at the State University of New York at Potsdam and Master of Music degree in performance and accompanying from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He serves as the collaborative pianist at Westfield State University where he coaches and performs with students, faculty, and chamber ensembles including the Westfield Chamber Players, works as pianist and music director for the Vocal Performance Workshop, and accompanies the University Chorus and Chorale. He has worked as a collaborative pianist at the University of Massachusetts and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He also served as the Director of Choral Activities at Bay Path University directing the Chorale and Page Singers in concerts throughout the region as well as on international trips to Prague, Munich, and Salzburg.

Scott is a Colleague (CAGO) of the American Guild of Organists and has served on the executive committees of the Springfield and Berkshire chapters. He has served as the music director at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement in Westfield, MA and the First Congregational Church of North Adams, MA. He is currently a substitute organist throughout western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. He regularly presents organ recitals and has participated in a variety of outreach programs involving the pipe organ.

Scott is sought after as a pianist, choir director and organist and has performed with the Hampshire Choral Society, Berkshire Concert Choir, Novi Cantori, Cantilena Chamber Choir, Chicopee Comprehensive High School, and the Stockbridge Festival Choir. He has conducted for PanOpera in Northampton, MA and has conducted pit orchestras for Westfield State University music and theatre productions.
