Bio: Leslie Mangrum is a Voice and Piano instructor at her own private studio. She also offers group classes in singing, diction, and music theory. Her students have gone on to receive scholarships at premier Music Colleges and can be seen performing professionally around the country. Ms. Mangrum is also the Music Director at Sunrise Presbyterian Church. Ms. Mangrum is an active performer in opera, concert, and recital. She has performed with Wichita Grand Opera, Music Academy of the West, Opera in the Ozarks, Music Académie de Villecroze, the Florida State Opera, as well as with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and Hutchinson and Salina Symphonies. Ms. Mangrum studied voice with the incomparable Marilyn Horne. She holds a Master of Music degree from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma State University. Leslie Mangrum has won numerous awards including the West Central National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Award. Mangrum was formerly an Assistant Professor of Music at Kansas Wesleyan University where she maintained a full voice studio and taught many classes for voice majors including diction, pedagogy, vocal literature, music history, and acting for singers as well as conducting the Women’s Choir. Leslie Mangrum lives in Salina, KS with her husband, Scott Lee, and baby Clara.
