Bio: David Guess currently teaches voice and coaches singers in both his private studio and at various secondary schools in the Waco area. He also directs the Central Texas Choral Society, which recently gave performances of Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Texas in Austin and holds a Masters Degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Guess served as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas and has been on the adjunct faculty at the Baylor University School of Music. He has also taught at the secondary level and served both full-time and part-time in various church music positions.
