| International Congress of Voice Teachers |
|
In 1994, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and dozens of other voice teacher associations, entered into a Joint Venture Agreement to facilitate (by providing marketing services and managing funds) a world-wide gathering of voice teachers for master classes and sessions, very similar to the NATS national conferences, but international in scope. Every four years, ICVT is held in one of the member countries. In 2005, ICVT 6 was held in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2009, ICVT 7 was held in Paris France. "It's an exciting time to be a NATS member. While other professional associations are cutting back on member services for voice teachers, NATS keeps adding benefits and partnerships for members and students. I'm excited about the new music theater competition, the Orlando conference, and the partnership with Carnegie Hall - The Achievement Program - to mention a few. To borrow Joan Boytim'a phrase, I'm more 'nuts about NATS' than ever!" -Cynthia Vaughn, proud NATS member since 1984
