NATS Vocal Music Fellowships
Transforming lives through the power of singing
The NATS Vocal Music Fellowships help deserving young singers receive the instruction needed to pursue lifelong musical interests. Private vocal instruction is critical for students considering careers in the vocal arts. However, paying for these lessons can be a barrier that makes options for underserved populations almost nonexistent. NATS combats this problem by providing fellowships for singers from communities not typically able to access voice lessons.
The NATS Vocal Music Fellowships are awarded to singers:
- Typically in high school who possess a long-term goal to study singing
- Are representative of the diverse cultures, identities, and ethnic origins of society
- Who would not otherwise have the financial means to pursue their interest in singing
Young artists, regardless of their background or financial standing, receive instruction and mentorship from some of the best voice teachers in the nation. Voice lessons have a positive effect on self-esteem and personal development, they lay the groundwork for pursuing careers in the arts or education, and they help build leaders and creative citizens.
You are invited to support the NATS Vocal Music Fellowships. Help us provide an opportunity for young aspiring singers to achieve their greatest musical aspirations.
For $50, you can provide an hour-long lesson for a student to study with a professional voice teacher. For $200, you can provide a month of lessons. For $2,000, you provide a year of study, sheet music, access to accompanist resources, and assistance with preparing for college applications.
