Whether it is networking with your colleagues, learning best practices, or discovering new ways to grow as a teacher, NATS provides our members with a wide array of opportunities at a great value.
Professional Development Opportunities
From Hall Johnson Spirituals Competitions and American Negros Spirituals to the National Musical Theatre Competition and National Student Auditions, NATS provides opportunities for our members to allow their students to experience a bigger stage.
With chapters in all 14 regions, there is a community and local connection for our members to join, participate in, and connect on a one on one level. Most NATS teachers also are active performers, and have valuable contacts in the professional worlds of singing and teaching. Connect with colleagues at live in-person and virtual events or through the online directory.
Members have access to the NATS Job Center, an online database of positions currently available at colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. In addition, members may place their profile on the "Find-a-Teacher Directory," accessed regularly by students seeking private voice teachers in their area.
Social Media and Webinars
NATS Chats provides our members with the chance to hear our live presenters and guests speak on a variety topics for independent business owners, faculty teachers, and collaborative pianists. In addition, there is a special Facebook Members-Only Group for our members to communicate freely.
Grants and Awards
The National Association of Teachers of Singing offers a variety of awards, grants and funds to support members and their ongoing professional education.
Being a member has its perks. From insurance to office supplies, NATS delivers.
