Bio: Lyric soprano Jee Hyun Lim is an opera singer, private teacher and an adjunct faculty at William Paterson University and Lehigh University. She has sung leading roles with Chicago Lyric Opera, Seattle Opera, New York City Opera, Vancouver Opera, Spoleto Festival, Teatro Municipal Santiago, Shinzuku Opera Theater, National Theater Zagreb, Bergen Opera Norway just to name a few and sang over 40 performances at Royal Albert Hall in London. Ms. Lim also has sung Lady Thiang in the King and I in London, Wolf Trap and Fox Theater in Atlanta. On the concert platform she has sung Messiah eleven times at Avery Fisher Hall and other oratorios and recitals in Detroit, Atlanta, Minnesota, Ravinia Festival, Virginia, and Lehigh University. Her private students have been accepted to Juilliard School, Manhattan School, Mannes College, Yale Opera Program, Hartt School, Eastman, etc. Recently, she taught Korean songs to 27 students at William Paterson University and gave Korean Song Evening Concert. Ms. Lim was educated at Juilliard School, Juilliard Opera Center and Seoul National University and she was a winner of Sullivan Award, Metropolitan Opera Eastern Regional Competition as well as Dong A Music Competition and the artist of the year by Syracuse Opera. She teaches opera, art songs in German, Italian, French and English and musical theater as well as sacred music.
