Bio: Beth Preston holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master's Degree in Vocal Pedagogy. She is a member of the Voice Care Network, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA). She has directed choirs and coached singers for musical theater productions since 1982. Ms. Preston is the artistic director for Tapestry Singers, an adult community choir in Damariscotta, ME. Currently, she teaches privately in her Nobleboro, ME studio where she enjoys working with voices at all levels of development, pre-teens through 80-somethings. She has sung with Una Voce Chamber Choir (formerly Vox Nova Chamber Choir) in Brunswick, ME and with in the chorus of Portland Opera Repertory Theater (now Opera Maine) in productions of La Boheme, Faust, Lucia di Lammermoor and Roméo et Juliette. She has provided the vocal coaching for most of Heartwood Regional Theater Company’s musicals and operas. Her high school students frequently place or win Maine NATS Musical Theater and Classical awards. A number of her younger students have been cast in Maine State Music Theater productions.
